To achieve this the room is subdivided by large sculptural elements to create smaller niches. This area has been populated as early as ancient Rome, due to its lush, green hills surrounding two small lakes.&nbsp;The Villa was built at the end of the 19th century and is part of a conglomerate of three villas close to the train station. In the 1950s residential buildings started to replace some of the one-family houses of the 20s, to achieve urban densification of the neighbourhood.&nbsp; The apartment is located on the top floor of one of these residential buildings. The land is currently used for the production of olive oil and wine. This is an ongoing project that aims to convert the existing ruin into a pottery school, that will also provide spaces for creative workshops, cooking, and agricultural courses. The aim was to create an environment where the artists would feel comfortable and be able to focus on their projects. The result is a simple, uncluttered space with an understated, earthy colour palette. Most pieces of furniture were specifically designed to fit the spaces and meet the needs of the client. The façade has a window front with a spectacular view over the city. We were responsible for implementing the design concept, which included the refurbishment of all five main office buildings across Switzerland. We managed all involved parties and oversaw on-site work. The project was completed successfully, on time, and within budget.
